What is BioThane®, and how is it different from leather or nylon?

BioThane® is a premium PVC coated webbing with the look and feel of leather - but it’s 100% waterproof, odour-resistant and wipe-clean.

Unlike leather or nylon, it doesn’t absorb water, stretch, or hold smells, and it’s incredibly durable. That means your dog’s collar will stay fresh, strong and colourful no matter what adventures you go on.

What makes your two-coloured collars and leads different from regular ones?

Like all our BioThane® products, our two-coloured range is also made from genuine BioThane® - the highest-grade waterproof webbing on the market. We designed this range to combine complimenting or contrasting colour combinations for a bold, stylish look.
As one of our founding designs, the two-coloured range represents the essence of Trinkety Paws - a distinctive, trademarked style recognised and loved since our very beginning.

Each piece is handcrafted in our UK workshop, using the same premium hardware and quality standards as our single-colour designs, but with a more distinctive aesthetic that allows you to express your dog’s personality.

Can I choose my own colour combination?

Yes! While we offer a curated range of ready-made colourways, you can also create your own custom two-coloured design through our Design Your Own section.

Can I personalise or customise my BioThane® Collar and Lead?

Yes! You can add name or number engraving, or even design your own custom colour combination. What sizes are available?

Our two-coloured Dog Collars are available in a full size range from XS to XL, suitable for extra small breeds through to very large dogs.

The Dog Leads come in lengths from 90cm (3ft) up to 180cm (6ft) - and two widths 16mm Slim – perfect for small or toy breeds, 19mm Regular, ideal for medium to extra-large dogs

How should I choose the right size?

You’ll find a Size Guide on each product page, showing how to measure your dog’s neck correctly. If your dog is between sizes or you’re unsure, just pop us a message - our team is always happy to help ensure the perfect fit.

Will the colour fade over time?

BioThane® is known for its vibrant, long-lasting colour, but like any material, lighter or neon shades may show wear sooner especially with heavy use, less frequent cleaning or prolonged UV exposure.

Your collar will keep its look beautifully with simple care - just avoid strong chemicals or insect repellents on the material.

Is BioThane® suitable for dogs with allergies or sensitive skin?

Yes - BioThane® is non-porous and hypoallergenic, making it an excellent choice for dogs prone to skin irritation. It doesn’t absorb dirt, bacteria, or moisture, helping to prevent itching or rashes often caused by traditional materials.
