Give your dog room to explore while keeping them safely connected to you. Handcrafted in our Northamptonshire workshop from genuine BioThane®, our waterproof long line is strong, flexible and easy to clean-ideal for recall training, scent work and everyday adventures.

From muddy woodland trails to wet grass and sandy walks, it gives you the extra reach you need without bringing home a soggy, heavy lead.

Choose your width and length

Our long lines come in two widths:

• 12 mm Slim Line: Ideal for smaller breeds and puppies, or when you want a lighter line for a larger dog. Available in selected colours.
• 16 mm Regular Line: A wider option for dogs of all sizes, particularly medium to extra-large breeds and stronger pullers.

Choose from 3 m, 5 m, 10 m, 15 m or 20 m, depending on how much distance you need for training and exploring.

Each line includes an integrated O-ring for attaching a detachable traffic handle or another lead. Use it on its own or as an extension to your existing lead setup.

3 metre option for scent work and closer handling

Our 3 m long line is a compact option for scent work, tracking and man-trailing exercises where you want to stay closer to your dog.

It gives them room to search and follow a scent while keeping you nearby to guide and reward. The shorter length makes slack easier to manage and helps reduce tangles, particularly during quick changes of direction or searches in smaller spaces.

Lightweight and easy to manoeuvre, it is a practical choice for indoor searches, woodland work and wet grass.

Choose your handle setup

Standard Long Line - No Handle
Supplied with your choice of clasp and an O-ring at the opposite end. A flexible option for trailing, recall training or attaching to another lead.

Fixed Handle Loop
Includes a built-in, non-removable handle for those who prefer a traditional grip.

Detachable Traffic Handle - Optional Add-On
Available separately, this clips onto the O-ring to give you a removable handle that can be kept clear of the mud as the line trails. It can also be used on its own, attached directly to your dog’s harness, for close control in busy areas—particularly useful for larger dogs.

Made for muddy walks and wet weather

BioThane® makes cleaning up after an adventure simple. Its waterproof surface doesn’t absorb moisture, and mud and sand wipe away easily. Even when the line trails along wet ground, it won’t become waterlogged.

Planning beach walks? Choose our Everlast hardware options, including solid brass, stainless steel or the aluminium locking carabiner, for a setup suited to saltwater use. Our classic plated finishes are not sea-proof. Rinse your line and hardware with fresh water after beach use.

• Pair it with our BioThane® Hands-Free Training Lead to extend your setup for training and exploring.
• Choose 12 mm when keeping weight down is your priority, or 16 mm for a wider line suited to larger dogs and stronger pullers.
• When allowing the line to trail during supervised training, keep it clear of legs and obstacles.
• Add a Detachable Traffic Handle for a flexible grip option, or use the handle separately when you need your dog close by.
