A Figure of 8 Lead combines a headcollar and lead in one piece. The lead forms two adjustable loops - one sits over the nose and one around the neck - creating a gentle guiding action that helps reduce pulling through pressure and release, not force. It’s a simple, effective training tool for calmer walks.

Our design includes a flat BioThane® section under the chin to prevent pinching or rubbing, even during longer walks. The pressure distributes evenly and releases immediately when your dog relaxes, helping encourage loose-lead walking in a kind, non-restrictive way.

These leads are ideal for dogs that tend to pull, lunge, or need gentle guidance - such as excitable or more reactive dogs.

They’re also great for training sessions and daily walks with breeds that benefit from more head control.

However, we recommend careful fitting for very short-nosed or narrow-headed breeds and always advise of that this is a training tool, not a standalone fix.

Place the larger loop over your dog’s head and position the smaller loop around the nose.

Adjust both loops so they fit snugly but comfortably, and ensure the stop tab is set so the loops stay in place without tightening too much.

We recommend introducing it gradually indoors so your dog gets used to the feel before walking outdoors.

A Figure of 8 Lead is best used as a training aid to encourage calmer walking and discourage pulling through gentle, consistent pressure. It’s not designed for harsh corrections or constant tightness - always pair it with positive reinforcement and praise for best results, seek help from a trainer, if you need more guidance with your dog.

Simply wipe it clean with warm, soapy water or rinse under the tap. BioThane® doesn’t absorb moisture or odour, so it stays fresh and ready for the next walk. There’s no need for machine washing or drying - just wipe, rinse, and go.
